We provide you with a checklist and follow up on all work completed and a written report on the condition of your scale with recommendations for upgrade where applicable and replacement of any parts that could cause problems in the future.

Regularly scheduled scale calibration is especially important. Inaccurate scales can result in higher costs and loss of funds (see our scales chart) depending on the degree of inaccuracy and the length of time since the last calibration.

The following points are services rendered and procedures followed for inspection and maintenance on various types of scale equipment.

 
  1) Weighbridge & Foundation
 
   
Visually inspect scale foundations for rigidity and groute under stands
Visually inspect clearances around weighbridges
Visually inspect weighbridge steel for corrosion, cracks, and broken bolts
Visually inspect condition of weighbridge deck
Check girder chair bolts
Pressure wash, clean, re-grease, adjust platform bumper bolts
Sandblasting if needed
   
 
 
  2) Electronic & Mechanical Scales
 
   
Check and inspect for wear and corrosion
Clean and inspect load cell for physical wear and corrosion
Check loadcell cable for abrasion or damage
Check proper alignment for mounting assembly suspension parts
Check conduits
Check loadcell and splices for moisture and corrosion
Check balance box for moisture and corrosion
Re-grease and re-assemble load cell mouting assemblies
Check and inspect main lever, pivots and bearing, etc.
   
 
 
  3) Digital Weight Indicator
 
   
Check all digit display segments are operating
Check loadcells input cable entrance to indicator for abrasion of cable damages
Check digital indicator on simulator to verify operation of indicator
   
 
 
  4) Testing and Calibration
 
   
Make section adjustments as required to meet scale calibration with government weights and measures tolerances
Check digital indicator and verify scale return to zero
Test and calibrate scale with strain load and certified weight (both directions) in order to meet government specification
   
 
 
  5) Additional Services
 
   
For scale calibration our truck and technician are available 24 hours
Welding, pressure washing and sandblasting where required
Removal of excess mud and debris from the the scale assembly and weighbridges
